Active Damp Solutions is a family run business which provides a personal service for Damp Proofing and Timber Preservation.

Our aim is to provide a turn key service to our customers keeping the customer informed at each stage of the damp proofing or timber preservation treatment.

We carry out damp proofing and timber preservation treatments in Harrogate and the surrounding villages. We specialise in damp proof injection to buildings which have either no damp proof course or the damp proof course has perished over the years and is now defective. After we have installed a damp proof course, the area effected will then require re-plastering by one of our trained plasterers.

It is important that the correct materials are used when finishing the walls, as this will determine whether the wall will remain damp free for the guaranteed period.

We carry out a number of other services such as penetrating damp issues. This can be damp penetrating through a wall from a leaking downpipe or gutter or that the ground level is higher than the damp proof course. Blocked cavities can also cause issues with moisture being tracked from the outside course to the internal course and leaving damp patches on plasterwork.
